Every single review on other sites says to order a full size larger than your normal shoes. I want these shoes, but how do I know I'm ordering the right size? My size is 9.5 US.
CatLikeFelixI hike in the mud a lot, and my Merrel Moab boots aren't grippy enough, plus are super heavy. When you're hiking 11 miles to Kalalau, it makes a huge difference. I'm trying to shed a pound from my hiking shoes, the only problem is that I tend to twist my ankles a lot, and the Merrells help against that. I'm not sure if it's worth it the weigh drop. However, I have wide feet, and I'm a front foot striker, two things that this shoe apparently addresses. On the fence now, though I'm tempted to risk the $50. Any suggestions?
TSwansonYes, I'm referring to US sizes. Most Amazon reviews say get a full size bigger, but they could be referring to UK size. Since there are no returns here, I wanted to hear it clearly from someone here who bought this exact model. Apparently the different Inov8 models fit very differently. I have extra wide feet, and I've heard these are one of the widest shoes from Inov8, but someone already posted in this forum that they fit snug. Does anyone here have experience with this exact shoes?
leRedin my experience, it's the other way around -- if you're a size 9.5 US, get the US 10.0 size. These shoes run small. I wear a 10.5 US, and US 11 (UK10) in the Terraclaw 220 is just about right for me -- a good technical fit (precise), but definitely not over-roomy.
swimjayThanks. I want to support Massdrop but in this case I might go with Amazon, just because I can return it and get a refund the moment I drop the shoes off at UPS. I do like the black shoes a lot ($120 in Amazon), so hopefully this drop will return after I get my blue shoes at Amazon. I'll snatch one of these black pairs if that happens, since I'll know my exact size.
