JCHENGSet aside an inked up nib where? Anywhere other than inside a fountain pen or sealed container is a disaster waiting to happen.
Without a swivel, that cap would be undone easily, as had happened to many similar key chain products I used before.
Perhaps an owner of this pen can clarify for me how he would use these features.
MrSharkbaitThe ballpoint head included in the kit comes with a cap. But I would recommend washing your pen nib prior to setting it aside anyway -- wouldn't want to let the ink dry inside.
Both pen heads use the same ink cartridges.
MrSharkbaitI'd recommend using the pen as a pocket pen and not a keychain pen. The pen cap attaches to the back to the barrel to form a full length pen -- so a keychain would obstruct and weigh down.
I carry mine around with the clip-less config., in my pocket neatly resting by my phone -- so I don't have a need for a clip on such a short pen.
JCHENGI didn't realize that the ballpoint uses the same ink cartridge, thanks for pointing this out. The use case I have in mind is to use the fountain pen as default, and when I need to use the ballpoint (e.g for duplicate forms, or signing a document that requires BP) I would switch over to BP, and immediately switch back when done. So I would end up rinsing one if not both heads.
The keychain cap does not swivel.
