RadtekHi Radtek, There is motion detection to trigger to start recording to your Micro SD card. Our sincere apologies, this camera does not record to PC. That specification will be corrected immediately on our website and Massdrop listing. I'm so sorry.

MacallyCustomerServiceI find it to have a light variation sensor that has absolutely nothing to do with movement. Making the device for me completely worthless and unreliable.

IIBirdIIHi IIBirdII, Sorry that you are unhappy with the SecurityMan SM-825DTH security camera. Here are some suggestions that might help: Regarding light variation, you can adjust the sensitivity levels to avoid sensor trigger. There are 3 sensitivity levels that you can use to help prevent the false triggers. For the most part 720P delivers a pretty decent image, however the reason for choppy audio can sometimes be caused by a weak audio (cell phone) signal or the audio being transmitted is too far away from the camera. Please contact our tech support toll free at 1-800-644-1132 for further assistance. We'd like to try to solve any issues you are having. Thank you.

MacallyCustomerServiceI was aware of the setting. It has no effect on the persistent false alarms. I was sold a device that was grossly misrepresented. It does not do most of the things that were advertised. For me its the last thing I will ever purchase from Massdrop. Its insulting this would be sold at this price being a shadow of what competitors similar devices do.
