EDIT : After a little nib work, a few passes on 12000 grit micromesh, a few pushes on the nib, I'm fully satisfied with my pen. It writes much smoother, with less ballpoint-like feedback and a wetter line. Fountain pen magic, you can always work your pens somehow !
Hi there ! I've received my pen from the last drop yesterday. I've inked it up asap with Akkerman #5 and was a bit disappointed. Nib (fine cursive stub) is very stiff. I understand it's a steel #6 nib but it's way beyond the stiffness I expected on a steel nib. While it isn't scratchy, I find it has a lot of feedback and I have to write with some pressure to get a constant flow. Maybe it's my pen, maybe not... but I'll have to work a bit on the nib to smooth it and to make it a little wetter.
Pen itself is very beautiful and robust. It gives you that feeling, you're holding something that could outlive you if well taken care of. The new section is long enough to rest fingers and threads aren't sharp. Gold plating is very shiny and piano lacquer is smooth and well polished.
Overall, I find that the pen is very well-made, solid and robust, but I'm a little disappointed from the nib. Guess I'll have to do some micro-mesh work. Here's a little bit of writing to complement my opinion. I hope other buyers didn't have the issue I've mentionned.

NightharperYour writing sample is much appreciated. I just wish Massdrop could do a better job on providing more writing samples for all their FP drops.
