Got my pen in the mail yesterday, flushed and cleaned it last night and then inked it this morning. Early verdict: very nice! I really like the size of the #6 nib and I went for a "broad cursive stub" grind. The build quality is more than acceptable for the price. It fits great in the hand, I was worried about the grip but I find it very comfortable to hold on or just behind the threads - it's well balanced at that point. The nib is smooth, and very, very wet. Not sure if it's the ink, or residual pen flush, or the fact that it's a broad cursive grind (although the packaging noted that it was a medium and the nib itself is marked M), or the paper I'm using, but if I were to play a word association game with this pen, my answer would be "wet!" I hadn't planned to use it as a daily writer (Parson's essential is in that rotation), but it will probably be relegated to special-duty unless I can find a better ink to pair with it. I'm happy with the purchase and the service, probably should have gone for a narrower grind, but I shot for the moon and don't regret it at all. Thanks massdrop and Italix!

Quaziecho the thoughts, I got a fine cursive, and my nib also is marked with a "M". I inked mine up and it writes close to a fine so i'm not sure if the nib marking actually stands for medium :) Can anyone confirm?

LessertAs far as I know all reworked Italix nibs start out as German medium Bock nibs (not 100% sure on the manufacturer), which they must be ordering from the manufacturer in bulk. If you check out Bock's website you will see that they sell their product in lots of 5000. Since the nibs are going to be reworked anyway and the nib ground off, it would make sense to just order the nibs in one size. The label on the box, however, should reflect the correct final point, as ordered. If not, especially if you feel that the pen does not write as one would expect from the point you ordered and more like the point indicated on the box, then you should contact customer support. Mix-ups are not exceptionally uncommon and have happened before.
