My pen arrived yesterday and 5+ pages later, I am hugely satisfied with it. I ordered one with a left-handed broad italic oblique nib and it is super smooth and wonderfully wet-writing. While the pen is probably the heaviest in my collection, it is nicely balanced and very comfortable to write with. Amazing pen, doubly so when you consider the price. Well done, Italix!

Malaclypse_JrQuestion: you got a left-handed oblique because you're a lefty? Or is the left-handed oblique for righties? I'm confused by the description. I am a lefty and am about to receive a Parsons Essential with a left-handed non-italic oblique grind. Just wondering if I ordered the correct grind or not. Naturally, Massdrop has declined to answer my question themselves. Thank you!

writerstephenHi writerstephen,
I was confused by this too but found a good description here: http://www.mrpen.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d184.html
"You should look at the back of the nib where the feed is. A left oblique will slant downwards from left to right and is for the right handed person.
A right oblique will slant downwards from right to left and is for a left handed person."
I am right-handed so got the left-handed oblique …

Malaclypse_JrDammit. So I got the wrong one. You'll notice the conspicuous lack the of the suffix "-handed" from the above description, hence my confusion.
Off to get my nib changed.
