A few questions: -I'm pretty hard on my shoes, and while I will take care of them, they see water and mud. Which leather/color should hold up best in these conditions? -What shoe style/model (vans?) should I go to a store and try to get an idea of the size I should order? -Does the white outsole stay clean or stain over time? -Would it be necessary to have a rotation or 2 pairs to keep these in good condition?

tb00your questions will be hard to answer as facts, but here goes 'my opinion' --having a rotation always helps, for any shoes. if you wear the same shoes day in a day out they will break down faster and you won't get as much out of them. --vans is a good indicator of size, yes --the white outsole will stay as clean as you allow it to. If you are getting mud and dirty on it, it will get dirty. If you are asking me if it turns yellow or looses it's whiteness, well no not really presuming you clean it regularly and don't let dirt/dust/mud etc set in. --and based on what you say, probably best to stay away from the suedes if you are getting mud on your shoes on a frequent basis. ....and if you want to get a suede, go for the dark brown one
