I got the Wedgewoods during the the last drop with JF, size 10E. They fit pretty good.
How does this last compare? I have wide feet and kind of a high instep.

Boots came in last night. They look fantastic. I was surprise by how lite the boots are, but this probably due to the city rubber sole. We will see how they hold up after long fight nights in Las Vegas. If they do well, I'll need these in brown too.

Was really excited about receiving the shoes but I am quite bummed and disappointed with some issues. I've added some photos. The shoes are straight out of the box. The wrinkles where the toe meets the vamp is noticeable but I can overlook that however there is a dent on the side of one with fine vertical lines running through it. Its like this pair got crushed some where along the line from poor handling.
I've had lesser shoes come in better condition when new. I sincerely hope this is a one off and the rest of you get your shoes in expected condition. These are my first pair from J. FitzPatrick and I am disappointed.
I am frustrated and have not given them a second look since taking these pictures. But for the short time I did, it has nice details, comes with great packaging/presentation.
Justin, if you are reading, this should not have left the manufacturing floor.

I did mention I could overlook the fine wrinkles, not even creases, as I knew creases would form after wearing. That divot on the side, perhaps if I took a swipe at it with a cheese grater I can recreate those marks.
Whether or not these would happen on my first wear or my tenth wear, is missing the point. Is this the level quality and expectation one should have for your shoes when they come new? How about a scuffed leather sole? A scuffed toe box? Are these acceptable because they will eventually happen?
I edited my posting several times. At one point with the sentence, hoping that my issues were a one off, I mentioned that I would look to purchase again in the future. The unique style offerings and price point make your shoes an enticing choice. I removed that to see what kind of a response I would get. You gave the one I was hoping you wouldn't.
Thank you, Justin. For organizing this Massdrop, it was appreciated.
A good day to you as well.
weilianthank you for you reply.
I work hard to make my shoes as best as can be, but the more you are on this side of the spectrum the more you realize it is impossible to have everything be perfect. With all production (in any industry) there is a certain level of having to accept things not being perfect or else nobody would make for you as it is not realistic to always expect perfection. As a customer, I do believe that there has to be realistic expectations. If the sole was scuffed on a brand new shoe, it would not bother me. If the toe was scuffed and it could be polished out, it wouldn't bother me either. I might be disappointed at the level of QC but would not be anything more than that if fixable. If of course it could not be fixed and it was more of a gash then that is a different story.
But shoes, using a natural material (that varies greatly) and being made by individuals working at machines (i.e. room for error), can never be perfect at certain pricepoints (that's what separates our shoes versus John Lobb. In any production, there are some near perfect shoes, some not so perfect and then some regarded as 'seconds' for their level of imperfection. But the not so perfect and the perfect are sent to the shop as perfectly sellable shoes. Some people get lucky and get the near perfect, some not as lucky and get the unperfect but perfectly acceptable as a full price product.
I am unsure of what response you had hoped to hear from me but regardless of my brand, as a person that runs/founded The Shoe Snob blog, it has always been my goal to educate on the realisms of the shoe industry and what people can and should expect as one cannot expect perfection from everything over a certain pricepoint, as what then separates the pricepoints?
Like I said, I am sorry for your disappointment and hope that despite the small imperfections in your boots, that they last you many years to come and that you get your value's worth on the idea of cost vs longevity

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the J. FitzPatrick Wedgwood Boots and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/2.
We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/21.

I have pretty flat feet, and can't fit too comfortably in shoes that are narrow around the arch area or toebox. Do these shoes have a narrow fit? Are these shoes still a good fit for those with flat feet? Also, I wear a US 11, but have downsized to US 10.5 on my boots. Would you recommend UK 9.5 in these shoes? Thanks!
Flying.Kitthese are not narrow by any means and yes, the arch support should help your flat feet, unless you are more referring to having a low instep. As per sizing down, well if you say that is what you have to do then I can't really commend otherwise so then yes, if you are looking for a US10.5 equivalent then the UK9.5 is the way to go.

Flying.KitAre these shoes comparable in size with tennis shoes and running shoes of the same size? For example if I wear a size 11 in running shoes and tennis shoes, should I stick with an 11 here?
