Nice to see all the fine writing instruments and accessories making their way to "buy" status on MD. The lowest price this drop is $25.99USD, with a pack of paper - which is no deal. I can buy the same blotter locally for $25 CAD, and a paper pack for $9 CAD any day of the week. I don't see much a savings here, nor how the $37USD MSRP was calculated. I will be passing on this drop, and issue this caveat emptor.

jugtreeHi @jugtree -- The Canadian dollar is pretty strong right now, so you may be getting a better value with a local retailer than is available to members in the US and other countries, especially when international shipping costs are factored in.
As with all products, we appreciate community members letting us know if prices are lower in certain regions or from online retailers. We try to offer the best available price to members in all regions, but we encourage you to take advantage of better offers if and when you find them.
The MSRP of the blotter is $28 US and the refill pack is $9 US, so the total MSRP would be $37 US. Depending on where members are located, this drop should essentially be like buying the blotter and getting refills and shipping at no additional cost.

JonasHeinemanIs this drop coming from J. Herbin or from a U.S. vendor?

JonasHeinemanJust to point out that the blotter paper is not the refill needed for the rocker blotter.

JonasHeinemanI disagree with your comment about Canadian dollar. One Canadian dollar worth almost one US dollar 6 months ago. It is worths only 0.84 now.

rafaelpapIt is, Rafael; I have a pack of it right here, in pink, but it also comes in white as in this drop. You just have to cut it in strips to use it.

rafaelpapThat's the same thing, just the vendor has pre-cut it for you.

rafaelpapThe printing makes no difference. J. Herbin sells larger, uncut sheets with printing, and smaller pre-cut ones without. Both will work just fine with the blotter. The uncut sheets are cheaper and give you far more blotter paper, as well.
I took the sheet of paper off of my blotter -- one of the smaller, non-printed sheets -- and put it on a piece of the printed refill. It matches height-wise, and according to my measurements, you can cut each piece into 4 pieces exactly like this one with a little bit left over..

rdominickI buy A3 blotting paper and cut them to size but I do not say they are refills for the blotter. If I buy A3 90g paper, trim it to A4, punch holes on it I cannot say that I bought refills for an A4 bloc. My point was that, as you also says, J.Herbin sells precut refills. The ones offered are quite usefull to carry inside A5 notebooks. Best regards.

rafaelpapBut you just have to cut it to fit the rocker. It is more cost effective to buy these blotter paper packs than to buy the precut strips. I've heard that the printing could affect how well the paper blots, but most discussion boards have people arguing in favor of buying these packs.
