Janome 1600P & Grace Frame SR2+

Often mistaken for an industrial machine, the metal Janome 1600P-QC is a mechanical, straight-stitch-only machine that provides up to 1,600 stitches per minute for home use. The fast speeds, coupled with the independent bobbin winder, make this an ideal machine for quilting. The 1600P-QC works with light fabrics as well as thicker, heavier materials like leather, suede, or canvas. There is a large 8.5-by-5.5-inch work area to the right of the needle, an easy side-loading bobbin, and an automatic thread cutter that cuts both the top and bobbin thread with a simple push of a button. The design also comes fitted with an ergonomic knee lift, which adjusts according to your preferences.

When using a machine quilting frame, your sewing machine sits on a carriage, which rolls back and forth on a track. Known for the smooth and fluid feel of their track and carriage system, Grace Frames utilize smooth ball bearings in high-quality steel wheels that practically glide along the plastic tracks in the frame. The Grace Company’s bungee clamps provide excellent and even side tension at the edges of your quilt. Plus, these new-and-improved bungee clamps have been designed with a sleek profile to make attaching and removing them even easier.

With the frame, you’ll also get four Start-Right quilt clips, each measuring 24 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter. The easiest and fastest way to control and adjust the layers of fabric on your quilting frame, quilt clips also come in handy when "floating" your quilt on the frame and make loading your fabric easier with less pinning.

The unique Fabri-Fast rails make attaching fabric to your rails a breeze. Use the included Fabri-Fast tool to push your fabric and the provided Fabri-Fast tube into the rail slot.

A universal foot pedal replacement, the Speed Control puts the power of your foot pedal at your fingertips. Use the on/off button to start and stop your machine, and the dial to control the constant stitching speed. Plus, the Speed Control works with many machines on the market.

This time-saving cloth leader helps you attach the fabric to your frame easily and accurately, and comes printed with precise guide marks and pin lines. It works well with the Fabri-Fast system, and also comes with a Velcro attachment kit that can be used to secure the cloth leader to your frame.
