SandyLucasSo, to confirm, out of box, this setup will do straight-line quilting but free-motion will require some accessories? Or can you do free-motion with what it has?

PrincessmaxmamaNo you can't do free motion without a free motion foot. Also you can't lower the feed dogs on the Janome 1600P so you need to purchase a new plate to cover the feed dogs also. It would be better if these came with the drop, since they are selling the set for long arm quiltings :) but right now you have to get them on your own.
