will it sew through 2 or 3 layers of denim?

mindiIt should be able to do that. Proper needle selection is most important. I use a similar machine to sew outdoor gear for camping. These are home use but will give you a lot of value

mgardneraaThank you. I use denim needles, and need to be able to hem jeans. (lots of layers at the inseams!)

mindiyes, be sure to use a jeans needle. when sewing thru 3 layers, use one of the plastic jean a ma jigs on the back of the foot area to get over the hump.
