Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). The price of the keyboard isn't really a problem. In fact, with free shipping, you're saving maybe $10 over buying it from EliteKeyboards. The deal here is that you're getting some pens with it.
Many Topre enthusiasts harvest these boards for their caps. For me, having a 55g 87U with HiPro caps is pretty much Topre endgame!
I think Md ought to change the wording in this listing. Many aren't going to find it easily; I've skimmed over it a few times without realizing it was the HiPro keyboard. The caps should be emphasized, as well as the pen, in the title, and also in the description throughout.
