While I do think of myself as a knife aficionado you have to understand people dropping 500 bucks on knife usually know what their buying ("usual is a key word here" ) that being said this knife is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes pricey knives. I've seen handmade knives that can fetch thousands of dollars. That being said while you do in most cases get what you pay for my EDC is still a beat up Gerber Ascent and my backup is a CRTK Ken onion... Everyone has their own preferences, do I think 500 is a bit much? Sure. But would I use this knife? Gladly... The price point is there for people who want to buy it not those who wish to hate. Just my two cents...
