Apologies to Mr. Jarosz for the disrespectful comments of some here. To those who feel this knife is expensive, I would encourage you to try and make a knife of this quality. If you could even manage it, how much do you think you would need to charge to make a profit (don't forget, you have to pay for materials, business insurance, health insurance, shop space and power, expensive tools, and 12.4% gets taken by uncle sham for social security alone)? When you buy a knife like this, you are supporting an endeavor that is both creatively design oriented AND made by a human being.
If that's not what you're into, fine, but recognize this: When you pay $40 for a mass produced knife, over half of your money is going to people whose jobs it is to advertise the product to you, because they think you are too dumb to recognize quality. When you buy knife like this, you are paying nothing to be advertised to, because the quality speaks for itself. Instead, you are supporting a myriad of hardworking people making the best product they can.
