JBL EON612 PA Speaker

This is kind of a funny drop isn't it? Kind of a niche appliance, and you'd have to spend $800-900 to get two if you wanted stereo sound. I have experience with similar PA units and they are generally capable of crazy loud volume compared to most home-targeted speakers. They retain good SQ even at a high volume. A few of the somewhat non-obvious drawbacks include the fact that even though these have huge 12" woofers, you'll probably still need a subwoofer since their bass response is lacking (-10dB at 48Hz) - a lack of low frequency sound is common for this type of speaker. Another drawback for the home user is that these are best used with a balanced audio connection which is not common in consumer devices.
