I am a coffee addict like many, I admit it. The thought of having some good cold brew coffee ready to go when I can't be bothered to fire up my espresso machine was tempting, so I grabbed one of these. Initial impressions were good, and the resulting coffee was excellent if prepared properly. It was a breeze, really. After a while, when washing the pitcher, it kind of slipped from my hand and lightly hit the granite (and I mean lightly) as I firmed my grip. Too late. It was shattered. By the slightest impact. That's thin borosilicate glass for you. Thankfully, if you can find a container that fits it, the metal mesh/filter (which does all the job) is perfectly usable still, so I'm not out of cold brew coffee. Phew!
thanatosixuOh just a random glass jar that was a tad taller than the filter itself. Preferably get one that will fit the filter's body, but not the neck, so that you can just rest it on top of the jar lid and forget about it. Places with homeware carry that sort of stuff.
