Anyone know how much they can improve my ocular patdown abilities? I'm looking to determine someone's threat level without them being able to feel my retinal assessment.

Just be careful of the fit. I bought the Vermonters, and while the nose may fit right, I am looking out of the upper "corner" of each lens. If you can find these somewhere and try them on before ordering, I suggest you do.

These look like the ideal sunglasses for me, but I can't fathom why there is a need for real leather. If there was a version with other type of breavale fabric, they would have been great.

Does anyone know if these would be suitable for desert hiking? Places like New Mexico or Nevada? Would they be too hot?

With a VLT of 90%, doesn’t it mean they’re useless in bright conditions? Are these night glasses?

arteddieI think they posted it incorrectly on massdrop. If you check the company's website they have the inverse percentages shown, 7%, 12% etc

arteddieThat is incorrect. Mr. S is correct. 7%, 5%, 3% is very dark if you are not familiar with these lenses. Check out their website.
