Bought in Blue
In some ways I've been quite happy with the Julbo's I bought through Drop. Both pairs still sit in my car's glove-box as backup sunglasses. The one note I have to make on this pair though is that they were physically smaller than the first pair I had bought. Which, well, my fault for not paying attention to the specs.

Love these frames!
Definitely not for everybody, but if you can pull of this look, it is a killa! I love the Vermont Classic style.

Great! Used on a JMT hike
Really great sun protection. Comfortable, and they did not fog up as I was worried they would. Dark lenses were perfect for hiking on snow. They are a bit aggressively dark when hiking through shaded stretches, so they were on and off a lot. Mine suffered a pretty deep scratch when I didn't put them in their soft case and threw them in my pack, but I can't really blame the sunglasses for that. I bought a second pair when I got home because of how much I used them while hiking. Unless you're going for a very specific Steampunk look, they look very strange to wear around town.

Total sun blockage
These are fantastic for blocking out that low morning sun however the part that wraps around my ear gets irritating after a few minutes. Perhaps I just need to sand the bit of rubber down that feels like it’s poking me. Other than the (solvable) discomfort I find these glasses great.

(spectron 4) did great on a sunny glacier.
Took these on a summit climb yesterday. Spent 5 hours on sunny glaciers and they did great and we're comfortable. Had a minor issue with fogging climbing up steep sections when I was working hard. But removing the middle sheild fixed the issue. 4 stars just because I wish the side sheilds were removable.

Solid
They feel more heavy duty, and rugged with a more amber tint than I expected. I'd call both of these a win. A bit of sun pokes in here and there, but they haven't fogged up on me either. I've wanted these since '92. So, yay!

I've been looking for a pair of glasses that my blue eyes can relax behind in the harsh glare of the snow. I thought I would give these a try and they didn't disappoint. I opted for the polarized lenses and while they are not super dark, they are very clear and very vivid. The key is the side shields, these really help block out the extra light, and I never felt myself squinting or suffered any headaches. The fit is a little different as these frames do not sit on the bridge of your nose with pads, but stay on your face via the hooked arms that loop over your ears. It takes a moment to get used to, but after an entire 3 day weekend of snow shoeing, igloo building and camping I was super pleased.
