FOR CANADIANS OUTSIDE US -
This dropped to $79.99 USD an additional $17.75 in shipping and handling. I'm not sure why I had to pay an additional COD of $23.71 CAD which at the time of writing is another $18.26 USD.
Main point - if you're outside of US, look for another charger as the charges may be higher.

technahlogeeYes, but what's a better alternative? I live in Alberta and when a cold spell arrive, you see a lot of cars that won't start. This is an emergency starter as well as backup power for your cellphone or tablet to keep the kids entertain. I currently carry around a lead acid starter battery, emergency USB power bank and blanket. You never know when you arrive at your car after a hike, xc-ski, or even a house visit to realise that you accidentally left your light on. Sometime car battery die unexpectedly. When my wife gave birth, she didn't use her car for close to a month. Sure enough the battery died, luckily she was at home. I look at Costco, and their price is about the same as this piece with less feature. It replace emergency starter, USB battery bank, flash light. In a pinch, you might be able to use that flash light for self defence. Costco currently sell an emergency road kit for $30 (usually $50) which include a blanket, triangle, yellow vest, first aid. It would make a good combo with this.
