Does anyone know if the dome is plastic or mineral crystal?
Capt_N3mo
The Max Bill Chronoscope has a plastic crystal, which looks amazing. It domes all the way to the edge of the case and distorts at extreme angles, just like the in olden days...

Thank you!

Cheaper and if you have prime with a Amazon credit card you have financing available or 5% money back.

Buy this watch from an AD. You can get great deals on Junghans right now. I just picked up a Meister Telemeter in stainless from an AD for $1550 all-in and that's with a stamped warranty card and 2-years of coverage. Going without a warranty on any mechanical chronograph is a somewhat dicey proposition but especially so for the Telemeter, which uses a modular Dubois Depraz setup. I wouldn't want to pay out of pocket if something goes wrong with the movement in the first few months/years of ownership.

who is AD?

AD is an acronym for "authorised dealer".
Gosh this looks good.
Highly suggest buying mid-range and above watches from an authorized dealer rather than MD.
It's a ruse. Overpriced.

Actually, this is a good price. The only issue is the lack of warranty. I'd avoid this drop for that reason alone.
No leather band options? yikes...

I see leather versions
Curious about the warranty as well. No options on the bands either. Not a huge fan of the mesh bracelet. Any chance we can get the grey dial as an option?
I have another appearance question. This watch is really thick (ove r14mm). The style seems strage for such a thickness. I have an Eterna with a 2894, and it seems kind of thick with a more traditional style, so a Bauhaus look with a thick case is kind of strange. I really like the Meister Telemeter (I am also longing for the heritage-looking Longines chrono's), but those old chrono's had slim manual wind movements (oh Longines, please re-make the 30-CH). I wish Valjoux would start making the 72 again.

I believe it is the opposite, watches with bezel wear small.

Skip, I have the Max Bill Chronoscope, it is about 14mm thick, but over 5mm is the plastic crystal alone. It makes the shape of the watch from the side somewhat like that of a disc-shaped UFO, so it slips under a shirt cuff rather easily. It wears pretty thin, in fact. The 7750 is actually managed rather well by Junghans in this particular case. I actually didn't think the watch to be that thick, I had to remeasure to believe it. FWIW.
Is the Meister Telemeter brass? Does it come in steel?

The Meister Telemeter is available in stainless or gold PVD. I just - as in a couple of days ago - picked up the stainless Telemeter from an AD for $1550 with full manufacturer warranty, stamped card, etc. Cheaper than Massdrop. If you like the watch, I'd buy it from an AD. This is especially true since the Telemeter, unlike the Junghans chronos with the vertical subdial arrangement that use the Valjoux, use the Dubois Depraz modular setup, which is apparently tricky to service.
