I can get american apparel fine jersey shirts for ~$9 on amazon with free shipping, can anyone comment as to whether the addition of hemp is worth the extra $25?

timegrownoldDefinitely can help a bit with that question.
For starters, our offering from Jungmaven is a beefy 7oz. tshirt, almost double the weight of the American Apparel fine jersey shirts (which are roughly 4oz.). Heavier weight makes this a better option to wear this by itself, for example with just a pair of jeans, and still feel like you have a decent layer on you and not just an undergarment.
The combination of hemp and the fact that Jungmaven doesn't use any additional fabric softeners gives it a nice feel to it that only gets better over time with more washes. Again, the heavier weight here plays an important role; you won't end up with a slowly disintegrating tshirt, but rather a shirt that only gets nicer and softer with time while still holding shape and substance.
Additionally, hemp is naturally antimicrobial, it wicks moisture and breathes very well, aside from being a very strong fiber that will hold up during many a wash cycles.
Hope that helps your decision making process. Thanks for the question!

TomasVOn your word alone, I had to buy 3 of them ; )
Plus having them all Made within the US of A, makes it a better deal than buying lots more of throw away, PRC junk.
