Heavier weight makes this a better option to wear this by itself, for example with just a pair of jeans, and still feel like you have a decent layer on you and not just an undergarment.
The combination of hemp and the fact that Jungmaven doesn't use any additional fabric softeners gives it a nice feel to it that only gets better over time with more washes. Again, the heavier weight here plays an important role; you won't end up with a slowly disintegrating tshirt, but rather a shirt that only gets nicer and softer with time while still holding shape and substance.
