Is the acrylic bubble dome bulgy, like on the Junghans Max Bill?
Is the plastic bubble a design decision or a cheap compromise, like the quartz movement?

delnerdoAcrylic is half economy and half design... Certainly saves cost over sapphire, but is about on par with mineral glass and is in some ways preferable. It will scuff more easily, but this develops a vintage look, or you can buff scuffs out, unlike mineral glass. Also, acrylic has a distinct look and feel and is what was used in watches of the era this watch emulates, so it can be a nice design element if it suits your taste.

re: the hesalite buble: don't drop the watch, I gave it a good crack on accident, but otherwise has been fine scuff-wise
re: the quartz movement: the chronograph doesn't have an automatic counterpart
why I picked it: all the clean lines
