Well, my double-sided stand just arrived today (Prime 2-day shipping) and I assembled it in five minutes with the supplied tools (actually, one allen wrench and four screws). On the other hand, I'm still waiting for the 6XXs and the HE4XXs to show up (wouldn't it be great if MD started doing 2-day shipping?) but until they do, I'm preforming a stress test on the unit with a pair of Bose35QCs. So far, it seems to be holding up under the load.

RayFI think you are posting in the wrong discussion. Also, the QC35'S are very light headphones, so they are not the best to be using for a stress test. Just my opinion though.

JustFluxzYeah, you don't seem short of opinions, I'll give you that. Ever so curious though, how is it you think my post about a headphone stand, in a headphone stand drop, is in the wrong place?

RayFI mean that's the only aspect where it makes sense. This generally would be a discussion for this specific headphone stand not for all headphone stands haha.
By the way, I have 2 singular headphone stands that are just like what you have and they look nice but depending on the headphones leave imprints on the headband. Somewhat annoying how it does it to my Sennheiser HD 700, to be honest.

JustFluxzI suppose my point then, was don't buy the stand in the drop, buy something better or at least more practical (like a two-sided stand). As for padding (on the stand and on the headphones) that does seem to be a common concern. Mine has pretty minimal padding, really just a smooth pad to keep the headband from direct contact with the aluminum. I don't anticipate any problems though, most of the headphones I've ordered should be okay (weight-wise). I'll keep you posted as they arrive...

RayFI have 2 pairs of high end headphones that I leave on my desk not including my qc35ii as I use those when I'm out and about. But trying to find a really nice looking yet feasible headphone stand. Hard to find an even balance for the specific aesthetic I was trying to get.
Edit: yeah, it would have made more sense if you stated the point of posting it. Like at the beginning of post say that this stand is more worth it because blank. I mean I'm not a cop of massdrop. I was just saying what came to mind because it definitely felt a tad out of place. Lol

JustFluxzWell as I mentioned, there's no shortage of other options on Amazon. And by the way, this page is full of alternative stands (and their pics), scroll down--you've got a lot of MD police work to catch up on!
