Does this stand flatten the band padding on your headphones? I have a pair of DT 770 Pro.

Shaqalacno, but the screws on the bottom of the stand are really easy to come loose. the screws themselves are easily stripped because they're so short. I've actually meant to comment on this drop for a while now, I bought this stand a while ago (must be over 2 years now).

ShaqalacHi, I have looked a lot into this and these are best for the suspension type headphones so that you just put the holder between pad and top part which is metal usually or plastic. Depending on the material in the normal single headband and the outer material like leather a curved shape is best that is quite large to distribute pressure. I also suggest not using the wood ones like on this site as they can squash the earcups if the band is very tight. There is a company that make the best curved suspension type and they are very high quality which means higher price. Here is an example and they make it many many types of wood and many other styles. https://www.thomann.de/intl/rooms_audio_typ_fs_b_headphone_stand.htm?ref=search_rslt_headphone+stand_276736_24

I have been trying to find a compromise in those Sennheiser clamp type which has a curved top but I fear they are out of production. I myself can't afford those yet and I have been looking for a compromise. There are a few on Amazon but I live in Australia and they won't post the ones I found. I think it is all about materials, pressure, how long you intend to leave them on the stand, price of headphones (since you don't want to spend more on the stand than the headphones), aesthetics and other things you will think of. Depending on use maybe keep them in pouch, bag or box then when using them heaps put them on the best stand you can get that harms them the least. I have accumulated these bits of advice from many reviewers sites and my own common sense in coming up with a couple and determining which ones make sense so please don't take it as a definitive list but what I have applied logic and common sense to plus knowledge of different materials and there use since I am a shipwright and we see the long term effects of use and pressure on certain materials. i hope I have helped you although I fear like me you want the really nice curved ones but wither don't have the cash or want to spend so much on them compared to the price of the headphones you have. I am probably totally wrong though. Have fun and let me know if you find any at a reasonable price. Jules P.S. I also found some just like these but they had 3 usb. The usb points were where the cord winds on these.

Antique_WizardSennheiser stopped producing the curved HH10 clamp holder a while ago but Brainwavz makes some similar ones with very good quality (as well as free shipping). I got a couple of Brainwavz holders and I'm really happy with them.

FjellduggThank you so much kind sir. That is most helpful. Although having looked at them again I am not sure if the surface area is wide enough to distribute the weight enough to stop the permanent crushing or flattening of the materials. They may be alright for one pair I own as they are much lighter. I think you just have to take each pair of headphones on its own merits. Could I ask what headphones you have on them and if they sit on them permanently? If so, have they caused any problems. One pair of my headphones has good quality memory foam, I don't want it getting permanently squashed. I have only just started getting into headphones so I only have 3 pairs and don't have the means to get what I want at the moment due to illness which is complicated but I am always looking to the future and if I get bargains would rather get some stands before the headphones so they have a place to live when I get them. Thanks again for you help kind person.
