Take your cleansing game to a whole new level with these products from two of our favorite Korean beauty brands. Along with a pack of 60 white-tea cleansing tissues from The Saem, you’ll get a natural jelly konjac sponge from Tony Moly. The tissues remove impurities while moisturizing your skin to leave it feeling clean and refreshed. Plus, they contain aloe vera juice, which forms a barrier to help your skin retain its moisture all day long. Made with konjac plant root from Korea’s Jeju Island, the konjac sponge is softer and more absorbent than standard sponges, thanks to its high natural fiber content. It removes dead skin cells without causing irritation and also has a pore-tightening effect.
Since konjac sponges dry out and harden a bit between uses, make sure to soak your sponge in warm water for a couple of minutes to let it soften. Apply a small amount of face cleanser to the sponge and massage it on damp skin in a circular motion. The sponge lathers the cleanser up nicely and allows you to use less than you would if you were using your hands. After washing your face, rinse the sponge under water until the water squeezed out of it becomes clean. Then hang it to air dry by the string. Keep your sponge in a dry place; konjac sponges can develop bacteria if left in damp conditions or not washed properly. They should be replaced at least once every three months.
