$97.98 on Amazon, ships with Prime.
Sometimes you beat Amazon, sometimes Amazon beats you.
Chisel ground. Ugh.
Cromulent
well I am no officiando but I have read up on the chisel ground back in the day and it’s supposed to offer more strength and wear to the edge because of the thickness of the steel behind the edge. Supposedly easier to resha too but dunno if that’s true. There was a name brand retailer who used this type of edge on there blades/machetes, big knives but I can‘t remember who that was. I waivered this item for about 2 years but eventually went with a Hogue s7 tomahawk for more unique applications and my fixed or folding blades for the rest of the needs. Lol...
I just bought this off amazon a few weeks ago, 90$ free shipping. I will say it is an amazing utility blade, no joke this thing will last a lifetime and cut down a tree after you die.
I still have one of these I'll sell for $75 shipped CONUS only. I just didn't use it like I thought I would. Not used much at all. Email me at: tetchaje2002 AT hotmail DOT com if interested.
Currently at $82 on Amazon
Still < $92 on Amazon with free shipping

Now down to $88.94
Wish the serrated was on the top side and in the middle as to not be in the way of batonning.
Fwiw, the BK3 is on Amazon Prime for $92

Yep, and for once it's cheaper on the Canadian Amazon too (130CAD/103USD with prime shipping vs 95-99USD + a month wait and 24USD 2-week Acendia shipping).
JRiggles
Yes it is. I have Prime. Why should I buy it here? I'm not.
Somebody said these sheaths are right handed only... not true. Just unscrew the belt loop and flip it. Great tool. I keep one in the Jeep to beat on.
Just got my BK-3 from Massdrop. Comparing side by side to my 2004 (Camillus) version, there are a few differences. Overall, I do quite like this Ka-Bar version better.
The "hook" on the Ka-Bar version is machined better. I didn't even notice until now, but the "hook" on the Camillus knife appears to have been machined with 2 different sized bits.
The black blade coating on the Ka-Bar is rougher, the Camillus one is a bit smoother. Whether this is a good or a bad thing I guess is up to you.
The handle scales are also smoother to the touch on the Camillus, which I think would make it slipperier in the hand for serious work. They may have just smoothed over time on my particular example, though....and in any case, I'm guessing sandpaper or a wire brush or something more creative like checkering would sufficiently rough them up for grip.
There is about 1/8" more serration on the Camillus, and I do believe this part was machined better on the Camillus as well. Cut slightly deeper, and at a slightly steeper angle. However, a little more length for the main cutting edge I believe was the right choice by Ka-Bar.
The main cutting edge......this is clearly won by the Ka-Bar. The edge on the Ka-Bar is MUCH more precisely ground. Though to be fair, I may have mucked up the edge on the Camillus over the years by attempting to sharpen it several times with no clue what I was doing :p And I humbly submit that sharpening is an art form that I still have not correctly learned.
The sheaths: First, the Ka-Bar is right-hand only, while the Camillus is ambidextrous. That being said, if you're right-handed, the Ka-Bar sheath is a fair bit better. The Camillus can rattle around a lot, while the Ka-Bar fits more snugly and is virtually silent. The Ka-Bar sheath has this little built in platform for your thumb to push on when drawing, the Camillus does not. The drain hole on the Camillus comes out the back of the sheath, the Ka-Bar drains directly out the bottom. While I wouldn't really subject either knife to much water, the Ka-Bar drainage system should be better. The belt loop on the Ka-Bar is affixed with 4 screws, thus removable; the belt loop on the Camillus is permanently attached with 4 rivets.
And lastly, the Ka-Bar has a flat (hammering platform?) on the pommel, the Camillus just follows the profile of the scales. I prefer the Ka-Bar better.
For me personally, my new Ka-Bar is the BK-3 I'd reach for 100% of the time. My Camillus version will be stored away to preserve its' condition as (hopefully) a collector's item.

I already HAVE a BK-3, but it's from @ 2004 and I've been told it may be a collector's item. So I'm buying this one to bash on while I keep the other one pristine.
I've got one of these lightly used for $75 shipped CONUS if anyone is interested. Cheaper price and priority shipping to boot! Email me at tetchaje2002 AT netscape DOT net if interested.

I might be interested. Mind uploading some pictures? BrainFlushed on reddit, pm me.
Its cheaper on amazon.
I've found these K-Bars are almost never a good deal on Massdrop, why is that? They are always just barely cheaper than Amazon or equal with everything factored in. Is it just difficult to get a discount on these? Or is this price really good for international buyers?
Edgar
The price Massdrop has on these and probably others are based solely on wholesale/distributor prices, which is pretty standard. Amazon has a lot of good deals because other third party sellers try to undercut each other. The only time prices somehow reach below is when it is old stock that a company is trying to get rid of completely (as inventory is literally money you haven't made on an investment).
Have had this for a couple years now. It's a beast. Used it for camping to light demolishon like smashing bricks. Check the YouTube stress test for this, they take a car apart like a can.
Cheaper on Amazon once shipping is factored in. Rather disappointing.
confed
Agreed. With shipping it's $95.24 through the drop and you wait a month vs. $94.85 on Amazon and get it in 2 days vs $85.88 on Jet
They are holding mine at the UPS facility in Hodgkins, IL for an unknown reason.
Exciting news group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.

You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/30 .
I was the order that made the lowest price. I could not resist another stamped Becker for the collection.
It is a great price but having to wait almost a month is what is killing this drop
That's one ugly knife!
Setthehook
I thought so too at first but it's grown on me over time.
This is only $2 cheaper than amazon, yet ships a month later
Have had one for a few years and it's a beast! Bring it camping and have used it for wood, digging....loves abuse! The factory handle is junk, use the other!
For those days you feel like you need a literal sharpened prybar.
I've got one of these, around the same price from amazon too. They're awesome, just a really cool thing to have.
