Really nice blade but I really am not comfortable with the very smooth plastic handle and I dislike the nylon sheath. The handle definitely is slippery when dry and god only knows what it will be like wet. The only reason it doesn't slip out of your hand completely is the front and the rear of the handle is larger so your hand will hopefully stop it's slide there even with hard use. Also if it had a factory kydex sheath I'd be much happier. Sharp enough out of the box to shave with. Will try using it as my new general purpose galley knife but carefully until I see if the handle is safe and definitely with a different blade protector.

kentobinIts the shape of the grips that's important. The shape will retain the blade. Much more ergonomic than the slab grips on other brands like Ranger or esee. Ethan Becker also designed the grips to be smooth to eliminate hot spots during long use.
Try some of the wood grips as a upgrade...just as smooth but more waxy...and prettier...I'm certain a guy on eBay makes and sells them.
