"Tactical" spork and chopsticks? I think the word tactical as a marketing gimmick has jumped the shark here.
In practice, tactical seems to mean machined out of metal and much more expensive, durable, and heavy than is neccessay for any reasonable use ... or having many unnecessary pockets.
I think that the market is ready for the kind of shake-up and revolution that backpacking had when Ray Jardin published Beyond Backpacking and started the ultralight trend. Before that everyone wore expensive, heavy leather boots, but he recommended lightweight, cheap running shoes that you chucked out when they wore out. And so on. Tactical sporks and chopsticks can be easily replaced by plastic spoons and waribashi chopsticks.
But eventually everything comes around again. Cheap runnning shoes ended up being pushed out by expensive Solomon trail running shoes.
