Hey Everybody - these are the stamped/polished blades with the Pakka wood handles! I have to say, the finish on these is spectacular.

ISKI enjoy seeing these knives make their way into Massdrop, but it's a bummer that there's no linen micarta option. Love the feel of micarta. I really wish more knife manufacturers embraced easily-replaceable grips.

Is this the hammer forged (linen micarta handle, 3 struts on handle) or stamp forged (black pakka handle, 2 struts on handle) version of the knife? Pictures show the stamp forged version while description is consistent with hammer forged

tinctYeah, these look to be the stamped versions. The handles are not micarta in the picture, but look to be pacawood. Takes it from a screaming deal to an okay deal. Granted these knives appear to be a very good deal at their MSRP. We're going to need some clarification Massdrop.

tinctYes, I too would like to know what version this is. I was under the impression that this is the linen micarta handled version, but on closer inspection, the handle looks like pakka wood. It looks like either the entire description needs to be changed to reference the correct product, or the pictures need to be changed to show the correct product. It should not need to be asked as often as it is asked on MD, but what is the version we are buying?

I guess it takes over a month to prepare the individual shipments, and more than a month from the original ship date. Perhaps with luck this will arrive in time for Christmas!

That's sort of the kicker, I've actually cut two separate support requests regarding this drop and haven't heard back at all. So I wasn't sure if anyone else was having delays or issues with this drop or if it was just me.

Received my petty knife on Monday, and I absolutely love it. It is beautiful, and a joy to use. I'll definitely be in if/when this drop renews, for a gyuto to accompany it.

Individual shipments are being prepared now! Our warehouse team received the group's bulk order earlier and have already broken everything down into the individual packages. As soon as your package is scanned into the courier's system an email will be sent with shipping confirmation and tracking info.

Hello @yoyoy -- Your order appears to be correct; that drop was for your choice of the Petty OR Santoku. It looks like you chose the Santoku for + $10. This is not the price for an additional knife; this is the difference in price between Santoku and Petty. Sorry if this was not clear from the description; when we offer multiple items in a drop, you will see it clearly marked; (i.e. Bundle, Set, or 2-Pack).

We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

Apologies for the delayed update and thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Kagayaki R-2 Nickel Damascus Kitchen Knives and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 8/12.
