@Arkon74@mullard@Peter82@kuzigu@hmd537@it-man@redline11@Mr.P@rkaa@blk456 I posted this in our last YU2 drop and I think it should clarify things:
" The main reason we don't offer international shipping is because we can't provide very good support outside of North America. Our only service center / warehouse is in Canada so if anything goes wrong with your speakers you'd have to ship them back to us and we'd have to ship your replacements. The shipping costs on your end and our end are high and it's just not something we're comfortable putting our customers through. Some of you may have thought about this potential cost and are willing to take that risk but not everyone is going to be so understanding when they're faced with shipping costs that are half the price of the item they purchased. We're a fairly small company at the moment and as we get larger we'll be able to be able to ship our products to more countries but for the moment we're limited in what we can do. I know it's not the answer you may have wanted but I hope you guys are understanding of the situation. "
KantoLivingHi there, thanks for your input. I would like to add that 1. Shipping costs do not necessarily need to be very high, I have had products that are way heavier shipped to New Zealand and this is without shipping costs being discounted. What I find is that most companies try to make money on shipping costs. The thing is that if the customer is aware that if there is a warranty issue with a product that one purchased from overseas, the customer should take care of the shipping costs, which is what makes sense. Also, your company will continue being a small company if you do not cater for the international customer. I would look at making a product which very high quality and go through a strict quality control process and negiotate a good shipping price with the likes of DHL, etc (like most companies do, eg, iherb.com where you can get products shipped to new zealand for around $1 a pound) and if you do that, your company will grow. I really was hoping for a good old American "can do" attitude.
KantoLiving@KantoLivingAppreciate the explanation. Hope you guys iron out whatever issues/concerns with the product quality & shipping soon so you have the confidence to reach the rest of us.
