Would this be a considerable upgrade to my Klipsch promedias 2.1? They are going on 12 years now.... and the clips snapped recently so they're dead right now until I'm able to fix them haha.

GingerbreadmanYou'll definitely get bigger sound and a whole lot more inputs and outputs. I'd like to think the sound quality is better, considering the msrp and mid grade tier these are in. These do not have a dedicated bass like your 2.1 system, but i suspect you won't loose much. You could always add a sub as well. These are going to be huge next to the promedias, so if you don't have the space you might be better off fixing your set.

GingerbreadmanCrazy, I am in the exact same boat- 12 year old Klipsch 2.1s, 2 clips broke! I am eyeing these as a replacement too. The old saying don't fix it if it ain't broke held strong with my Klipsch, but now they are getting a bit long in the tooth

sanchoxWell I got mine a little while ago and I gotta say it is great. It's definitely an upgrade. Fuller, louder sound. It will of course lack some bass as there's no sub, but you can add one later, down the road as I will. It's great to have the flexibility to add any sub as well.
