The specs are disappointing, 60W AB amp and 35Hz roll off, what is the point of that? Might enhance a desktop speaker set but that's about in IMO.

pizzamuncher88No it's not. My current stereo floor speakers go to -3 dB @ 30 Hz so a 35 Hz sub is useless to me.
The standard spectrum for HiFi is 20 Hz - 20 kHz so if a sub doesn't go to 20Hz, it doesn't even make the basic HiFi grade let alone audiophile. There are Subs that go to 15 Hz which means no significant roll off at 20Hz.
My comment is meant to suggest a 35 Hz sub is ok in a LoFi system but not an audiophile one.

kenwstrThe low frequency speaker in question here is designed to supplement the bottom end of small bookshelf/stand mounted speakers. You'd probably want to look elsewhere for an 'audiophile' grade low frequency speaker. REL makes a nice entry-level one for only about $5,000. I reckon you'd find it useful.

deepkimchiSo does HSU, all 20Hz and below. Great subs from 1K to 700ish. You don't need to opt for a 5K one.
