One of the first things I made in my machine shop class was a 1-2-3 block out of $2 worth of aluminium. I had no idea I could call it a pen holder and sell it for $90!

WOScopeExactly my thoughts!!! If it were made of copper or some high grade stainless steel and around $50, I would seriously consider it.
