When i join the drop It looks like there is a half yard option as well, but when I select that in the drop down it seems to add the that and the fat quarters. I am not sure what I am missing.

You're not missing anything. The half yard options is +$39 more so it gets added to the price of the fat quarter bundle. Hope that makes sense!
