Why don't to a local retailer and buy your pens? Instead of going through a gray market purchase. A retailer will provide after sales service and it would include a warranty. Support your local retailer or they may not be there in the future.
penman8Who said this is a gray market item with no warranty? B&M helping with problems after? Maybe, maybe not same as online stores. So I should go support the local retailer i don't use now so they'll be there in the future for me not to use? If you have a local pen store you love great, but save the sermon
MooDangI know for a fact that it is gray market. Why do you think it takes so long to get the merchandise? So don't tell me to save the sermon, when you don't have the facts. Good luck if you have any issues.
MooDangThe simple fact is they are not an authorized retailer and are buying gray market goods. You don't know where they are coming from and there are knockoffs in the market. Are those enough facts for you?
Even if you can't get to a store, there are plenty of authorized online retailers
penman8As a long time user of this site,
I trust them as a company to provide what they say they provide. Nothing I have every received from them has been a fake. I have checked. They regularlay do high profile collaborations with leaders in the headphones, mech keyboard, and now men's fashion industries. Do you really think they are going to risk those relationships by sulling their name selling fake pens, pens that aren't even that expensive for a fountain pen. Calm down and take your tin foil hat off, it's bad for your health.
MrElarbustoYes, I understand how it works. Apparently you do not. Some of the products are bought from gray market and presents the chance of not getting the real item. It is nice timing on your part since I posted that comment 34 weeks ago. Way to be on top of things. You might want to work on those typing skills and I don't appreciate the slang term.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RETAILER!
penman8Well, since I'm from Spain, sorry for the bad typing. Anyway, prove me this works under gray market, and convince me to buy from a local retailer, here in Spain, this exact model. I'm sure you cannot prove it, although it doesn't surprise me since your only way to be sure of this, is because "shipping takes so long".
The shipping on the items depends on:
-Where do you live
-When the drop ends
-How the package pass through customs in your country
And this are only some of the facts... So, yea, when you get to prove me Massdrop works under gray market, I'll believe you.

penman8I live in a small town. The "big box" stores put the family run stationary store out of business in the 90s. If it weren't for the internet, I'd be limited to disposable gel or ballpoint pens.
penman8bottom line if the buying experience with a local retailer for product X be it bicycles, pens, books, etc was all that great. Consumers wouldn't need to be guilted or scared into spending their money there over other options.
