When this arrived, I ordered a calligraphy nib for it because I prefer an edged nib. I'm not a calligrapher (far too clumsy for that!) but when I was in college, back in the dark ages, my art history prof was a renowned calligrapher. Seeing what he wrote on the blackboard with just a piece of chalk, I decided that I absolutely had to change my handwriting. So I have been writing in a decadent italic hand ever since. The ink flows less freely in the calligraphy nib than in the original. I do love the pen, but I wish the nib were a little more fluid. I have a converter in it now, which I'm using at only half full. Using it without the extension it comes with, there isn't room to really fill the converter. With the converter, it's too long for comfort. Without the extension it's just a wonderful little package. I suppose it's possible that a standard short cartridge might work a bit better. Any relevant experience out there? I'm reluctant to regrind the original nib, but I suppose that's an option, too.

Great pen. I use mine with the extension so that I can use a standard international convertor. I purchased a replacement nib as the original was a bit fine for my taste. I do wish a clip were available to prevent the pen from rolling on a desk.

c_b_foxKaweco does make a clip, but it is for the narrower body. Nonetheless, it will fit, albeit imperfectly. I have one on mine, and the slight misfit has ceased to bother me.
