Received my kit today. I am thinking about selling it because I just built two redscarf kits, and have another small keyboard on the way. I have 3 other full size keyboards and have a 68 key magicforce I rarely use that I should probably get rid of.
I ordered the titanium gray case with the purple plate, and after seeing it in person and handling it, I think it's the nicest kit I've seen. The case is just solid, and is pretty heavy. it's making me have second thoughts, lol.
MarutkI have GMK carbons on my redscarf, and just turned them upside down, and they work fine. My RSIII doesn't have LED's though, so maybe that's the difference. I do prefer the LEDs on top (switch upside down), but I would use smaller 1.8mm LED's instead of the 3mm LED's shown in the pics.
I'll have to do some testing with the 1.8mm LED's when I get home.
mike-yI tried GMK Dolch and Penumbra with Zeal and MOD-M switches. Doodled is absolutely right. Home row keys feel and sound different, more mushy, when bottomed out on upside-down switches.
Ashentoafter seeing how stout the case is, I've decided to keep and and build something with it. This case is just so dang nice, I don't want to give it up. I may have to sell one of my other KB's though. I have 6 now
MarutkYou can just buy a separate keycap from Pimpmykeyboards.com I use DSA Dolch, so I just bought an "Individual Key" on the dropdown menu for DSA Dolch.
