Could someone please explain the MX Clear hype? I get that they're like stiffer browns and don't bottom out very easily, but other than that what is so great about them? Is it just because they're "rarer"?
phruitpiePeople like them because they have a more definite bump. I.E. Greater tactility.
Browns to me feel linear with an imperfect bump indicating actuation.
phruitpieI also agree with @H2O2 on this. I have tested out MX Browns and the tactile feel is definitely more faint than the clears. Even with spring swap for less heavy springs, the clears is still consistent with the tactile feel. I definitely recommend getting the cmstorm tester if the drop is still available so you have a better idea. Definitely helped me in finalizing my choice with cherry mech switches.
