MidnaspetAt first there was one week delay from the original date. Now it's only six days. Better than nothing I guess. :-)

MidnaspetHush. The accepted rule here is to be perpetually grateful to Massdrop for accepting our money and selling anything to us at all. Demanding minimized delays is akin to being "entitled." If you complain about delays, you get told to shop on Amazon instead. Doesn't matter if things are delayed by months even, so a week's delay is MD doing you a real favor. If the overzealous commenters here are to be believed.

polymethI doubt they're just sitting on their asses doing nothing when a delay happens. I'm sure they understand the life and death urgency of getting a new keyboard.

Thanks. I was waiting for someone to call me out for being entitled (I already preempted that in my comment above). Yes, I am entitled for expecting, as a general rule, (this drop apart), decent service. And that vendors make reasonable promises. Of course this drop is delayed only by a week, but do you really need me to list the drops that were delayed by months? Of course, it'll be entitled to say that it was bad service on the part of MD.

polymethI come to this thread to usually check if Massdrop employees have posted new updates or answered new questions about the product itself. I think it is highly irrelevant and annoying for posts like yours to come up because how is it going to help solve the problem? I get it, it sucks having something that we bought with an estimated shipping time delayed by weeks, or even months. So contact Massdrop customer support if you want to cancel your order or get your money back, why whine to us, who are patiently waiting for something that is absolutely NON-essential. Delayed and long shipping times are the hallmark of Massdrop. It is their business model and time will tell if it succeeds or if they crash and burn. It seems like to me as long as they secure unique products at nice prices, they will survive.
There is a reason why I would never buy food, medicine, or water from Massdrop, CAUSE I m not going to get them quickly. But for things that I want, not need, and that no place else can source, I m fine with waiting for Massdrop.
This isn't brand loyalty to Massdrop either, if you or someone else starts up a company that does the exact same thing as MD but gets it to me on-time and quickly 100% of the time, I would gladly use your service.
In the meantime, its like I m trying to order a burger at McDonald's knowing exactly how unhealthy it is, but you come up to me while eating a burger yourself and complaining to me how disgusting McDonald's is.

polymethYou know massdrop has offered cancellations/refunds when things go too late. Sometimes they offer it outright for those that are interested when they make that announcement in an update. Other times they don't but if it's late, you can always contact them. In my experience here, I've never had an issue with their customer service responding and helping me out in the way I request.

mesiach_21Massdrop has been great with that, earlier this year I had joined a drop for a cooler master QF stealth board, that went on with delays after delays. From the start, for a month CM was supposed to be producing the boards only to tell massdrop that someone dropped the ball on CMs end and nothing had been that for all that time. Long story short, massdrop got in contact with me and offered a KB Paradise V80 with backlight at no extra charge and got it delivered within a week. So yeah, if the seller shits the bed massdrop does right by the buyer.
