KC64 Mechanical Keyboard

Looking to purchase this as my first Mechanical Keyboard. I love the small size while still retaining the arrow keys.
Since I'm a new to the world of Mechanical Keyboards I have a couple of questions.
1. I will be using this on a Mac. Does anyone know if this keycap is compatible with the KC64? https://www.ebay.com/itm/122009234072
2. Is there much of a benefit upgrading to the Cherry MX switches? From what I've been reading it seems the MX Browns will be best suited for me. Are the Gateron sufficient, or is it worth spending the $12 for the MX Browns?

boMDIt ought to be Mac compatible as far as I know. And if you're getting browns, I highly recommend getting Gaterons. They're cheaper and much, much smoother. The tactile bump/resistance is almost the same, but the smoothness is unparalleled with Gaterons. boMDOnce you start down this rabbit whole of mechanical keyboards, you'll never get out. When Cherry MX ran out their patent the imitators popped up all over. Some have legitimate products that have a different feel but use the same color/name scheme that refers to the pressure it takes for actuation. But as far as testing goes take a look at the factory tour of Cherry MX's production in Germany:

You tell me if you've seen stress tests like those.

boMDYes, it's going to fit at the left side (of the spacebar), because it's 1.25u(nit), but not at the right side (of the spacebar), because those caps are 1u(nit).

boMDYou won't be able to find a complete new set besides custom ones/groupbuys, the KC64 is using non "standard" keycapsizes for the shift keys.

One last question and then I think I have all I need to make the decision on my first Mechanical Keyboard...
Do you think custom keycap sets will be hard to come by for the KC64?
Part of the draw to Mechanical Keyboards for me is to really customize them and make one unique to my setup, and am wondering if I'll be limited to the black keycaps that come with the keyboard.

boMDThough question,
having in mind that you're a newbie with "no" knowledge about mks, keycapsizes/profiles ... let me answer like this.
The price given here is hot, get it, if you can live with the keycaps stock, or keep the black modifier caps and go for a "cheap" keycapdrop like this for example: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/tai-hao-purple-pbt-doubleshot-keycap-set You could use the grey alphas to change the look keeping the stock black modifiers, no worry about keycapsizes. Alphas are the keycaps like: qwerty ..., this mk seems to use OEM profile, therefore the new caps should be OEM, too.
A full custom set, if the needed childdeals are given to fit the needed sizes, can easily be $150 or more. That's nothing i would like to recommend to a newbie!

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
