Don't use a metal comb. It isn't good for your hair or scalp.

dead_pixel_designI've read that it depends on how sharp the metal is and the type of metal used. I don't think Titanium is bad.

SothaChillThis comb is like taking a bunch of sharp knives and slicing through your hair with them. I was just astounded with the amount of hair this comb took off of my head when I was using it before I tried to ease the edges. This thing is unbelievably not suited for combing hair. I really wanted to like it, as the allure of being strong and light was there, but the downside of it being too sharp is a deal breaker for me. I spent hours with a Dremel tool and wet or dry sandpaper trying to ease the edges fro being so sharp, but it still is ripping hair out with every stroke. I wanted to like this comb because I just like Titanium, but it's not suitable for combing hair. There are plastics that are much better suited for combing hair, and they are so much cheaper than this comb, you could buy a dozen of them for the price of this engineering failure.
