Quite the heavy bag compared to the Massdrop quilt, which is half the weight for the same rating. I suppose that's what make this bag so much cheaper. Seems like a good bag for car camping though, but 2.6lbs is a bit heavy to be considered "Ultralight" in my opinion. EE's revelations with 800-fill at 0 degrees weighs less than this 40 degree bag. In fact the 750 fill Massdrop bag weighs less than the 40 degree. Its nice to see general camping gear, but the community is called "ultra-light" so this might be misleading to some. If you're buying this for car camping, that's probably a great purchase, but if you're purchasing to put together an ultra light pack, then you should wait for a different drop.

tsturzl@tsturzl - your weight comparisons are accurate, but you're also talking about products that are 2-3 times more expensive. We strive to drop the lightest equipment for any budget, and I've yet to find any other true 20 degree sleeping bag for around $100. The Klymit KSB20 is the next best priced. And seriously, if you do find a lighter 20 degree bag or quilt in this price range, please let me know and I'll try to make it available for our community!

DannyMilksFair enough. I originally bought a synthetic bag on a budget years ago which was slightly heavier but about $90/MSRP. Its now discontinued. There is also the north face furnace, but that doesn't get very good reviews. Personally in my experience settling for something cheap has costed me more in the long run, hence my previous comment. I feel like price:quality ratio you'd be better off buying an EE quilt, because eventually if you ever want to lighten your load the sleeping bag is one of the first things to consider.
I'll agree this bag is a good deal for a down bag, but its weight is comparable to synthetic bags. I'd say the 20F Kelty Cosmic is comparable to the Marmot Trestles 15 with synthetic fill.
