Why does this keep getting more expensive? When I joined this drop about a year ago, it was $79. Since then, I have directed multiple people to this drop when it comes back. But now you are spending over $100 for the tent. I know, it's not much, but it is deterring people I refer.

dhoeppyeah, the deals aren't what they used to be. I wonder if @DannyMilks can comment on that. I would have thought that with massdrop getting more and more users we'd see things getting cheaper (rather than more expensive).

EZ_living@EZ_living - I know you're very active here and post a lot too, so first all, thank you. To answer your question, sometimes prices rise, that's true, and sometimes we're able to negotiate better deals. It fluctuates not just with our community, but what our vendors have in stock, the season, the age of the product, and so on.
Take a look at the drops we have going now and tell me the discounts aren't good enough: 30%, 40%, 54%, 37%, 47%, 32%, 45%, 55%, 34%, 70%, 33%, 35%, 35%, 43%, 37% . . . for an average of 41.8% off!!

dhoeppThanks for the question! The price I am able to negotiate fluctuates. Last may, we sold these for $109.99 plus shipping. Later in the summer, Kelty probably had too many in stock and I was able to get a better deal, one time even as low as $79.99. @dhoepp you happened to have joined at the best time. The price we have now is right in the middle of the extremes - maybe not as inexpensive as you could hope for, but also not as "bad" as it could be. It's still 37% off.

DannyMilksThat makes more sense. Thank you for replying. I guess I keep forgetting that this is a reselling community and not the actual vendor, so we aren't in charge. I retract my complaint. :p
Also, don't listen to the ultralight extremists. This tent is super light compared to my Walmart brand 2 person tent.
They are more likely to find a discount off a $600 tent by contacting the vendor and asking for one that has a stitching accident on it, rather than expecting the minimum 10 people to pay $500 for the tent on MassDrop.

EZ_livingYeah, your right. I've been buying from amazon more because massdrop just ain't bringing home the deals anymore. Last purchase was an alite mantis chair that arrived defective. It was an ok price but I bought a second from amazon for about 12 dollars less.
