Al3mbicDo not worry, they are not worth a bit, gorgeous look - yes, sound - no, and weight - you can use it for weight lifting. Reminds me Meze 99 Classics deal, it looks like everyone is bought by their look or may be exotic origin (Romania). But when you just listen to the sound - it is totally different story. Ask yourself how much experience Russia or Romania really have in producing headphones.

I'm excited about the Russian headphone, which I assume has very common Chinese 40 mm drivers. The exciting part is the look, the wood parts, the insignia - it just looks utterly cool.

True, I've never had a set of Russian headphones, but I'd love to try them. I'll give just about any set a shot. I would love to try the MyST Ortophones or one of the Nail IEMs as well.
and i admit, i am a sucker for the USSR wiring. and the look. but the fact that Kennerton's other headphones have gotten pretty damn good reviews is reassuring for these.

I got the Meze on their indiegogo campaign and was amazed by the sound. Much better than the Grado SR325e I can compare with. So don't bash them just because they are from Romania. Great sound can come from anywhere in the world as long as the builders are passionate and have enough experience.

sorinvI evaluate them solely on their sound quality and IMHO there is no comparison with Grado SR325e which are way better in spite of their ugly look and not very comfortable sit. Still everyone is entitled on her/his taste, i just recommend to listen carefully first, not to be led astray by their looks and regret later. However if money not an object why not to collect just nice looking headphones:).

I initially got the Meze cans and wanted an upgrade, since I gave those to my wife :) . I solely judge by the audio quality, as perceived by my ears. Last time I had a check, some 5 years ago, I had above 100% hearing range. But I guess that doesn't influence the taste.

You are a fool! As 99 Classics owner, and an owner of great headphones such as DT770, T70, SRH440, HD600, Momentum, and Q701, the 99 Classics ARE the real deal! Read the professional reviews around the internet (such as Innerfidelity) or the 150+ pages of impressions over at Head-Fi before posting like a fool/tool! Idiot...
