The shipping is too expensive. Negates all the savings.
I thought these were toenail clippers as I was scrolling through :'D
Hi! Where is this produced?
Word of warning for those with the brushed one, it's very rough on the inside of the tie bar, it might snag on very fine silk.

Yes, you have to rework it, at least in the inside. Different techniques possible, an easy one is with a metal file. Even with a nail file yet it will blunt the file. I heard 2-3 years ago the Kent Wang brushed silver tie clips were not like this.
IMO it could be vastly better finished, with rounded edges for example, and cheaper. But silver is easy for cold work, even sterling, especially on surface.
Brushed one isn't brushed, it's more like unpolished. I had to rework it myself. Also I had to polish the inside and the border in order to put it smoothly around the tie with no scratch. Moreover, it is very white for a sterling, I will have to wait for oxidisation. Kent Wang changed their brushed tie clip, before it was really brushed and nicer. By the way, it is not written where it is made. I guess it is China.
Overall it does the job it is supposed to do yet I am not very satisfied by this product.

Still no brushed silver as they used to produce in the past.
Really nice item, good size and weight, very nicely polished and finished. Well done!

Dropping out of this because it literally costs less for me to buy the mother of pearl tie clip straight off their website, as a Canadian
dleblanc
The same is true for me in California.
Does anyone know where these tie clips are produced?
Silver plated high tensile steel is more my style
Is the onyx/mother of pearl genuine or simulated?
J.John
Genuine. We never use simulated.
KentWang
I'm glad to hear that! Would you mind if I asked where these were manufactured?
Well, it broke after only two uses. The inlay is attached to the clip with a tiny dollop of glue that does not hold at all. I would suggest that the next time this is offered, people pass on it. Overall, not a product I will recommend, or a brand I will buy from again.

Email us at sales@kentwang.com and we'll send you a replacement. I'm sure it was just a defective fluke. We stand behind all our products. Obviously we wouldn't be in business if we had to replace all these tie clips all the time.

I ordered a hand-sewn pocket square from KentWang a while back and it never arrived. I contacted customer support and they promptly sent me another one, no questions asked. Their customer service is excellent. You should give them another shot.

No more stock available in this drop - when they're gone, they're gone!
Echoing the demand for Silver!
If we can get more silver, I'm in. standing by...
Plz page me if Silver ever gets refilled.
I got an email from MD saying they were holding a sterling silver...clicked to buy, and sold out. Rats.
It's too bad, was going to get a silver and a brushed. Maybe next time.
Can we get more of the silver added to the drop?
Out of silver. Guess I'll catch it next time.
Missed both the silver and brushed silver :( Given the massive success of this drop, any chance that any of the sold out options would be re-added?
For a typical tie/sportcoat situation, would the brushed silver be more appropriate? I like the polished silver; just wondering if it would be a little blingy for my typical tie occasion.
xtracheese
@xtracheese Personally, I feel like the polished silver looks classier than the brushed and can never be too "blingy." But that's just one man's opinion... I'm in for the polished silver.
The black onyx style looks very classy and I had to join. Could anyone share their experience with the clip? Thanks!
