Designed by Matt Diskin, the Kershaw Deadline sports a futuristic two-toned look and a utilitarian blade shape. The 3.25-inch wharncliffe is super easy to control—and easy to sharpen, too, thanks to the corrosion-resistant 8Cr13MoV stainless steel construction. The handle is an eye catcher for sure: It features a dark gray engraving that looks like an obelisk of sorts, or maybe a sharpened pencil. As for deployment, the blade is opened by way of the flipper tab and KVT ball bearing system. The stainless steel handle actually has two detents to overcome. This makes for reliable deployment with no need for a spring. Rounding out the folder is the deep carry clip for tip-up carry on either side.
