I just wanted to go out and say that I'm really excited to get this knife in the mail. The steel it's made out of, for those who are interested, is a Chinese equivalent in many respects to the well-respected AUS-8 steel that legendary blade-manufacturer Spyderco uses for many of its folding blades (as well as fixed blades). I've used the steel myself in the past, before I got more into utility blades for carrying with me on mountain-biking/hiking/skiing trips. The steel is not as durable as some of the higher-end steels but it can be sharpened easier than most as a result and will hold an edge for a while slicing through thick cardboard, ropes or letters (what I use folding knives most for to be honest).
I've been a dick to Massdrop peeps for a while now, but have to say I'm really grateful and thankful for this drop. This offer enticed me and I didn't know about the Kershaw funxion until I saw it on their site. So thanks folks at Massdrop for putting up with the likes of me until now. I appreciate it.
