An everyday beater you won’t mind getting a little messy, the Kershaw Lifter can take a beating without showing it. With its worn-in blackwashed finish, it looks rugged Read More
old_skoolThis is steel is pretty... middle of the road chinese quality steel. Nothing at all to write home to mom about. It'll sharpen easy, but it'll dull fast. For 12.50, get the damn knife. Can never have enough spare knives to just be handy when you need one. If you're looking for a knife to open cans with, cut twine and rope, and generally bring along on your last minute camping trip or to toss in your pocket during your saturday yard work, get it.
I bought one of these on amazon a while ago. After several months of usage, the speedsafe bar broke, and the pivot is not keyed inside the frame (or at least mine wasn’t) so I couldn’t take it apart to fix it. It’s not a bad knife for the price, and it pierced really well. Looks nice too.

YES, Kershaw is AWESOME when it comes to warranty stuff. They will usually send you out a replacement part with zero hassle, or will rectify any issues your have. The torsion spring on my Leek has broken twice over about 15 years (from years of use, metal fatigue and work hardening), and the first time it broke, they sent out two replacements. So when it broke the second time, I just put in the second replacement they sent me the first time. They sent it out without ANY questions about purchase date, didn't ask for proof of purchase, didn't make me pay shipping, nothing. I just emailed them, and they sent it out. That, plus other warranty experiences with them, has been some of the best warranty experiences I've had from any company.
Granted, my knife was $90, not $12. So they may just have you send it back and then ship you a replacement.
