Designed by knifemaker Ken Onion, the Scallion is named for its small stature. At just 3.5 inches long in the closed position, it keeps a low profile in a pocket. But its 2.5-inch blade excels in a variety of tasks—especially since this version is made with striking damascus steel. Great for detail work and everyday jobs, the blade’s recurve shape is also good for pulling through material. And thanks to Kershaw’s SpeedSafe assisted-opening system, which Ken Onion invented himself, it flies into the open position with a simple press on the flipper or thumb stud. On this model, the handle is made from aluminum with a stainless steel liner lock for blade security.
